The Creation

Hi guys. My name is Yerika De La Rosa and I am not your average blogger. I have decided to begin this blog because I need a place where I can talk my mind and heart out. To me, blogging means opening your options through writing. Giving the World a piece of your mind.

I have developed a love for reading and writing since I was very little. I used to spend the majority of my time in the New York Public Library reading books or playing the teacher and the student with my sister. I love reading because it takes you to another universe, one where you can escape to whenever you want. I love writing because it is another language, one were you can express yourself more openly.

When I am older I want to become an Entrepreneur. I have joined the Babson family. I start school in January. 🎵Let's go Babson, let's go!🎵 Babson was and still is my dream school, and getting accepted meant the World to me. I would write about my journey into Babson in another blog.

Throughout my life, I have gone through many obstacles and learned many life lessons which I wish to share with you. I want to inspire people with my story and to teach you that being different is the best thing that could happen to anyone. Uniqueness does not equal weirdness. It equals beauty. I learned this the hard way, and I thank God for it.

Another reason why I decided to start my blog is that I need something that would keep me busy while I am not working. Right now I am working two jobs. During the day I work assisting people to fill out food stamp applications, and in the evening I am a cashier at a supermarket. I like both jobs because I get to interact with people 24/7.

Practice makes perfect, right? Well, I don’t believe in perfect. I believe in great. When I am older I want to become an author. I want to write novels and short stories. When I set my mind into getting something, I get it no matter how many obstacles I have to face. Many see this as extra, or an overachiever. I see it as someone who is committed. What a better way to start my writing career than by starting a blog.

I have so many things I want to talk about, but I am going to take it one step at a time. I don’t like taking things one step at a time, I like two or three. When I go up the stairs I take two steps at a time. It’s better and faster. But better and faster is not always the best.

One of the things I wish to do is give advice to those who seek it. I want to tell you about my mistakes so that you will avoid them. I want to tell you how I was able to succeed in high school and become the Salutatorian of my graduating class. I want to give you tips on how to maintain a good relationship with your loved ones. I just want to be a mentor.

This being my first rodeo, I want to take each and every one of you along with me. I am not the best writer, nor the best reader. If you find any written mistake I apologize.

I know that this was a short blog, but I just wanted to introduce myself for a while, so that I can get into the good stuff.
